Lauren + Kai’s Surprise proposal @ Spicer’s Guesthouse, Hunter Valley NSW

Some moments are just meant to be captured — and this one was pure magic. Kai reached out to plan a surprise proposal for Lauren at Spicers Guesthouse in Pokolbin, and I knew we were in for something special.

The Hunter Valley is so dreamy — vineyards, golden light, and that chill, country-luxe vibe that makes everything feel just a bit more magical. Kai had a plan: a “casual stroll” around the property before dinner… but as luck would have it, the rain was rolling in! We quickly switched to a sheltered spot, and honestly? It turned out even better than planned.

Lauren had no idea what was coming. I tucked myself away, camera ready, pretending to be just another guest. Then, the moment arrived — Kai dropped to one knee, Lauren said yes, and the reactions? Absolutely priceless. After some initial confusion… pure joy, laughter, a few happy tears — the stuff proposals are made of.

The best part? The rain stayed away just long enough for us to take some gorgeous engagement photos afterward. Between the golden light, mountain views, and all the laughter, it felt like the perfect start to their next chapter together.

If you’re dreaming of a romantic Hunter Valley proposal, Spicers Guesthouse in Pokolbin is the spot — beautiful views, cozy corners, and that quiet, intimate vibe that makes popping the question unforgettable.

Lauren + Kai, thank you for letting me capture this incredible moment. Wishing you endless laughter, adventures, and golden sunsets together!
